back in singapore, i love to soak myself in kinokuniya for hours! its such a good way to read free books; and every end of year i can spend another hour looking for a good organizer from the great selection. being in queensland now has taken away that 'luxury' of mine. i was asking bf the other day 'didnt' they have any decent bookshop here?! is there seriously only newsagents around? (newsagent is the shop that sell newspapers and staioneries and can be found at every corner)', and the books they mainly have is regarding australia, australia and australia, or fiction mysetery, fiction mystery and more fiction mystery and finally the war books are about vietnam war! how boring! but lucky me, bumped into a fairly small bookshop with some 'out of the australia norm' books,

so with 34 dollars, i got TWO BOOKS, the feeling is SHIOK one lo. anyway, i did find out that there's a Borders at queens st, thought not my favourite, but i will make the best out of it.

boring! i'm so bored. holdiay is here and having no friends around or that most of them are returning to singapore, the feeling is really lousy. well, i do have some plans in mind and hope it wld be just as fun (without friends). or maybe place my bet that i would make some friends somehow or rather which is quite impossible. imagine, the first australian guy who initiate to friend me stop contacting me after the day i conveniently told him i got a boyfriend (or maybe its coincident or whatsoever). the second australian who initiate to buy me coffee immediately tell me he wants an asian girlfriend (like F u and your fetish for yellow skin), finally a third friend from india who loves bollywood movies so much that i didnt know how i could picture him surfing with me. do i seriously sound fussy? i don't think so, if the bollywood hardcore friend really is enthusiastic about cycling with me, i would be really glad to do so! just that i cant picture it in my mind at all.

anyway i been trying to do up a new blog, moving away all my serious issues from this blog. i hope everybody would visit that blog as often because i need people to understand my stand which is also the poor people stand who consists of 80% of the world population. its our world, our earth, lets understand and do something about it. so, please help me advertise to people who you think would be interested, uninterested, just because it is more important than our next overseas trip or even next meal.its still on its draft, www.raquelgan.wordpress.com.

my first big project for holiday is to bake a cake, becaues its bf's mum birthday! alright i'm not those girl-next-door with super big heart, but i guess it wld be nice and i love cooking & baking, so y not. i call it a BIG project because i would like to bake a black forest, with those melt-in-your-mouth blueberries inside the moist chocolate sponge! i'm a photo-gy person, but i promise i wld get the end-product picture taken (provided its a success story)! second big project may sounds really small to some friends, is my tour de tamborine event of 50km. but i'm really challenged because i'm not an endurance cyclist before and tamborine is a bloody mountain (so expect alot of uphills with my gear tuned to the lowest possible). last but not least, i would welcome the super-power-mario wind which is classically known as queensland wind or commonly known as australia wind. alright i'm just bullshitting, i just want to make a point that the wind here is really really strong, especially on those thunderstorm, i swear i cant feel my bike moving at all on the road with the cars honking me non-stop. seriously i still have alot of things to do, which i will update subsequently if i survive those two above (of couse i will), more photos up soon =)

having four essays and a take home exam due these coming weeks, never mind.
essays constitutes like 40-50%, never mind.
essays need good vocab, never mind.
but, I DON EVEN UNDERSTAND THE ESSAY QUESTION, HOW??? i thought eating more timtams would help, but seems like it doesn't !!! instead of becoming smarter, i find myself depleting unwanted brain juice and gaining unwanted kilos. but secretly i think i like such life, sometimes i really cant imagine being back in the workforce; go work-see no sun-go home-see the moon. i rather baked myself burnt in queensland, eat more timtams, shake leg in the library, and with a new bicycle:

EVERYTHING SEEMS PERFECT SUDDENLY. orbea leh, mai siao siao. but if i were to really give a truthful review of this bike, its just really SO-SO. heavy frame, useless suspension (ok i have yet to try any trails yet), uncomfy seat, but the shifter is smooth (o ya like bullshit, new bike what). anyway, i hope i can go for some races in the coming months after this horrible period of wakeup-think of essay-eat breakfast and shit-think of essay-sit in front of laptop-think of essay-go facebook-think of essay-find bf talk-think of essay-watch tv-think of essay-and blah blah blah. and i had a full stomach of beer last saturday, it is SHIOK one lo.

and there's a nice old band there, playing folk songs which is lovely cosy and enjoyable. there's this oktoberfest song they played which is really nice, pardon me but i really cant find it in youtube, they keep popping german words all over, suddenly QILING SEEMS REALLY USEFUL HERE! please promise me you will bring me to germany some year to DRINK TILL I SHIOK, DRINK TILL YOU DROP!

alright working over the weekend, i love whn money is ROLLING INTO MY BANK ACCOUNT. o and i was thinking if i survive through the three months of summer in queensland, i think i can start preparing a marathon in sahara?

i flooded myself with movies tv movies tv movies tv throughout this damned holiday. of course i hit the beach as well,

i need more of these ................ but after getting back my horrible essay frm my screwed tutor (my opinion solely), i think i gotta work harder nowadays.
so back to the movies, i shall highlight only two which are worth watching (my opinion solely AGAIN):

well schindle's list, didnt captivated me as much as i expected maybe because ppl had told me bout the story. so, speilberg failed me again (i hav yet to enjoy any piece of his works). but its an old movie, so its kind of crude for me to compare this to counterfeiters or pianist. so perhaps shld watch schindle's before moving on the counterfeiters and pianist, they will BLOW U! none the less, oskar schindle is still a hero, remarkable character.

bobby, commonly known as RFK instead, robert frank kennedy. this movie is emotionally impactful in a way. well, if u watch this movie with the mindset like me thinking to see bobby's last 24hr of his life, its going to be disappointing because the storyline didn't evolve around him. ignorant me always thought only bobby got shot in the hotel, but there's 5 more innocent lives being disrupted. the movie goes around them and its really touching to see the link and the ending. lucky for them, they survived. i think quite some time ago there's this movie RFK which you shld watch if you are interested in knowing him more - a man who might just had changed many of the US and even world history.

i love spring really much with all the flowers surrounding me! although the heat can be kind of unbearable at times (i don want to think of summer YET), but i enjoy the mild heat with the cooling wind occasionally (although the wind always blew my clothes away which singapore's wind will nv do that to me!). and october means OCTOBERFEST, ok i cant wait - drink, soak in the sun, good music and boyfriend

i am not blogging because the damn tigerairway cancelled my flight to melbourne, leaving me still shocked to fully utilise my holiday. i hope somewhere in the cloud you see my middle finger.

ok here's a video, i really hope everybody who dropped by my blog to just click the 'play' button. although its a rather long 20min video, but it will never never be a waste of 20min in your life, trust me!

i used to believe that shopping is good - a little bit of exercise and 'm driving the economy. alright, now i know thats bullshit which my teacher has been feeding me. just like i'm always always thinking do a better bike or better shoes helps a racer to win? now i'm more convinced that its a 'no' as an answer. i have a handful of medals at home, which i never expect them to be there; because everytime before a race, there are so many racers with better equipments around me. so is my efforts in training or their money in equipments pay off? well, all racers should know the answer. so, why are we always upgrading our equipments? i think its a ego thing, and also a pyschological comfort for us. at the end of the day, big corporations benefited, do you really think the r&d are that expensive? if it is, how do these corporations get their profits? how do these corporations sponsored even more races?
this is not a fantastic exmaple, but every little things count, our purchases are dumped, leaving our planet more vulnerable.

if i ever meet a person who is like the australian guy i met yesterday, i wld tell him 'i feel so sorry for u that u need a race of mine to make yours feel superior', even if it RISKED A PUNCH IN MY FACE. its a phenomenum created by capitalism which he's been supporting as an australian citizen, so don't put the blame on me, ignorant idiot.

a while earlier, i sent a friend my dinner picture

and eagerly wanted to tell her that i have bak ku teh to eat over here. but before i did, she blurted 'wow, is that PROK RIB SOUP?'. i don't know what went through her mind when she interpreted that picture, seriously since when do we - SINGAPORE ppl call that PORK RIB SOUP?

i'm sorry hong keow to expose u here! but u left me bizarre like how my boyfriend washed the dishes story, u get what i mean =)
